Shrine of the Ages
A Flute, a Recorder, 10 Strings, and 64 Reeds
Clare Hoffman, flute and recorder, Joe Deninzon, violin (that’s 4 strings), Steve Benson, guitar (that’s 6 more strings), and Robert Bonfiglio, harmonica (that’s 64 reeds!) explore music from the Renaissance to today.
Clare, Joe, Steve and Robert trace a musical journey, from masters of the Renaissance like William Byrd and Tielman Susato, to today’s contemporary and pop music scenes, performing on five of the oldest, most ubiquitous, versatile, and popular instruments, the flute, recorder, violin, guitar and harmonica.
