Sweet Plantain (Eddie Venegas, violin and trombone; Joe Deninzon,violin and mandolin; Orlando Wells, viola;, Leo Grinhauz, cello)
Artfully fusing the classical traditions in which the were trained with the hip-hop, jazz improv, and Latin rhythms with which they were raised, Sweet Plantain awakens audiences to new possibilities in chamber music.

The Stories We Tell
In collaboration with the Arizona Opera and Heard Museum, the Grand Canyon Music Festival presents “The Stories We Tell,” new, micro-operas composed by young Native composers, current and former Native American Composer Apprentice Project apprentice composers, and their teachers, Raven Chacon and Michael Begay. Performed by Arizona Opera artists and Sage Bond.
